Regarding this Thursday’s FlashForward – E07 – ‘The Gift’, after searching through for screen caps of the 30-second promo I am now completely mystified. (I know. That’s the point, right?) The real weirdness is what has to be reenactments of the infamous Abu Gharib prison and more specifically the torture that went on there as evidenced by photographs including here, the prisoners made to stand on chairs with black hoods and the threat of electroshock or worse if they moved and that pathetic American female soldier with the short hair and dog leash tied to her prisoner. It’s all here in my screen caps and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Did I miss an episode? Was last week’s show 2 hours and I missed the second half? I have no idea.
One awesomely cool thing for sure tho’– Callum Keith Rennie is guest-starring in this episode–and he has a blue hand! It’s a sure thing!
Finally, am I the only geek who is constantly having that mantra of River Tam’s (Summer Glau in ‘Serenity’), “Two by two, hands of blue,” go zipping through your brainpan when the blue hand stuff in FF is brought up? If I were them I’d check out the Serenity film and see if they can pick up a few clues there.
