Doctor Who: What Did He Say? Transcript – Dialogue of Series 6 (Matt Smith) Trailer/Promo SPOILERS

If you have been scratching your head trying to figure out what the fast-talking Doctor, seated in the office chair of the President of the United States is saying as he is surrounded by a squad of Men in Black, you are not alone. Here is that line and the rest for your better understanding of the very fast moving trailer for Doctor Who: Series 6. Big thankies to DoctorWhoSpoilers.com

Here’s a transcription of the dialogue from the trailer:

The Doctor: (in the Oval Office): I'm going to need a swat team, ready to mobilize street level maps covering all over Florida.. a pot of coffee, twelve jammy dodgers, and a fez.

The Doctor: (in the Oval Office): I’m going to need a swat team, ready to mobilize street level maps covering all over Florida.. a pot of coffee, twelve jammy dodgers, and a fez.

Where's the Doctor?

A Cavalier (Paul Critoph?): Where’s the Doctor? (Next shot; Nazis)

Then a brief shot of The Doctor, Amy and a denim-clad River running out of the TARDIS in the opening story.

The Doctor: I’ve been running. Faster than I’ve ever run. Now it’s time for me to stop. (voice-over with shots from Gaiman’s episode)*

*At this weekends New Yorker Festival Neil Gaiman revealed a few intriguing details for Episode Three…

He said that Surrane Jones’ character Idris “may be an old friend of the Doctor’s with a new face,”

And that “At one point I take up a plot point from an old episode called ‘The War Games‘,” -

Dr. Who Spoilers -  Gaiman Teases Episode 3

Here’s another clip from Episode Three with The Doctor and Idris on an Alien junkyard planet where the TARDIS has broken down.

The Doctor: (in the Oval Office): I’m going to need a swat team, ready to mobilize street level maps covering all over Florida.. a pot of coffee, twelve jammy dodgers, and a fez.

The Doctor: Somewhere different, somewhere… brand new. (Setting: Monument Valley, Utah)

(A couple of noteworthy things that help to lay out scenes in the trailer in better sequence are Rory’s blue-green shirt with horizontal lines and River’s denim suit.)

The figure walking up the steps with a flashlight is River. Have a look at her denim outfit and gun holster. This is episode 1.

This is a shot from the Neil Gaiman episode, in which The Doctor leads Surrane Jones’ character Idris through what appears to be a steam-punk style area.

Apollo-era astronaut is from the location filming at Troy House for which there has already been discovered a fairly large amount. This scene, and all the scenes at Troy House take place in Episode Two. An Astronaut was also spotted emerging from Lake Powell during location filming in Utah.

River Song: We’ve been recruited. (voiceover shots of Area 51 and bearded Doctor)

River’s voiceover tells The Doctor that they've 'been recruited' and says that The Doctor would have to 'trust them this time'.

The Doctor: Recruited by who?

River Song: You are going to have to trust us this time.

Amy (to the Doctor): You have to do this. And you can't ask why

Amy (to the Doctor): You have to do this. And you can’t ask why.

The Doctor: I wear a Stetson now. Stetsons are cool. (Doctor relaxing on hood of car)

The Doctor: My life in your hands, Amelia Pond.

The Doctor: My life in your hands, Amelia Pond.

The Doctor: You see these eyes. They're old eyes. And one thing I can tell you. Monsters are real. (A 'monster' wearing a suit is seen standing in the distance).

The Doctor: You see these eyes. They’re old eyes. And one thing I can tell you. Monsters are real. (A ‘monster’ wearing a suit is seen standing in the distance).

‘In my opinion it’s pretty tall and almost certainly from the Troy House filming, which would make this our first image of a Silent.

Although the image is quite blurry even in high-res it looks pretty similar to a Grey. This would seem to fit in with the government conspiracy/Area-51 elements of the opening story. Credit: DoctorWhoSpoilers.com

It’s interesting to note is that the Silent is wearing a suit. With that and the dialogue overheard during location filming:

Canton (Mark Sheppard): Stop! Don’t move!

River: There are loads of them, They’re everywhere

Canton: America is being invaded!

River: America was invaded a long time ago, America is occupied.’

New ‘Doctor Who’ Sets U.S. Airdate – April 17, 2010 – NEW Trailer – Promo

“Meet the Eleventh Doctor and his new companion, Amy Pond, in this dramatic trailer where in a whirling vortex they encounter deadly enemies… ” http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho

Why does it seem to take forever before the US gets to see UK -made television productions?! That’s rhetorical, btw. Just like  for example, American-made (HBO) series True Blood. Season 2 has just gotten underway in Britain while here, across the pond, Season 2 has long since ended and we are looking at Season 3 to begin airing in just a couple of months…I suppose tit for tat, as my mum would say.

BBC America has announced that it will premiere the latest incarnation of venerable sci-fi franchise “Doctor Who” on April 17, 2010.

The new version of the net’s highest-rated show will star Matt Smith as the Doctor (taking over from David Tennant) and will be headed by lead writer Steven Moffat, who wrote for the the show under Russell T. Davies when Davies revived it in 2005. Moffat, whose writing credits include Steven Spielberg’s upcoming “Tintin” film, has enlisted Neil Gaiman, “Pirate Radio” helmer Richard Curtis, and “Torchwood” writers Chris Chibnall and Toby Whitehouse to script the upcoming series, though Gaiman’s contribution is not scheduled to air until the 2011 season.

“Doctor Who” follows an alien called the Doctor and his companion (played this season by Karen Gillan), who travel across time and space searching for adventure. Current season will be set in 16th-century Venice, 1890′s France, and a far-future version of the UK, among other times and locales.
