Doctor Who Episode 7.07 PROMO VIDEO

Doctor Who Season 7 returns to BBCA tonight with the 11th Doctor Who (Matt Smith) still carrying out his doctorly duties despite losing his most recent two companions at one time. Married couple Rory (Arthur Darvill) and Amy (Karen Gillan) were dispatched to a place back in time where the Doctor can never see them again (yeah uh, never say never–see BBC announcement at top).  We’ve met the new companion, ‘Clara’ (Jenna-Louise Coleman), a couple of times already, in the season 6 premiere as a starship crash survivor, Oswin Oswald, who was transformed into one of the Doctor’s deadliest foes, the Daleks and who died at episode’s end. Coleman also figured prominently in the Christmas episode as a Victorian nanny named Clara Oswin Oswald who also met her demise by episode’s end but intriguingly, was visited in the present day–graveside–by another character played by Coleman.

Showrunner Stephen Moffat says the Clara conundrum will plague the Doctor throughout season 7 as “he is going to meet her again and she won’t remember him…He’s got to work out, Who is this and why did it happen?’

Everyone loves a good mystery, right? (Maybe Clara is her own doppelganger times three (or more?)

Doctor Who is to return to BBC America on March 30 in a modern day urban thriller, ‘The Bells of St John’, as the first official image is revealed giving fans a sneak peak at what to expect from the epic new series that will air on Saturday evenings.
Written by Steven Moffat, ‘The Bells of St John’ will mark the official introduction of the Doctor’s newest companion, Clara Oswald, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman.
Having already made two appearances last year, the opening episode will be the first time fans get to see the Clara that will accompany the Doctor across the series’ eight adventures.
Set in London against the backdrop of new and old iconic landmarks, The Shard and Westminster Bridge, ‘The Bells of St John’ will also establish a new nemesis, the Spoonheads, who will battle the Doctor as he discovers something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi.
Steven Moffat, executive producer and lead writer, said:
“It’s the 50th year of Doctor Who and look what’s going on! We’re up in the sky and under the sea! We’re running round the rings of an alien world and then a haunted house. There’s new Cybermen, new Ice Warriors and a never before attempted journey to the centre of the TARDIS. And in the finale, the Doctor’s greatest secret will at last be revealed! If this wasn’t already our most exciting year it would be anyway!”
Featuring a movie a week from a ghost story to an underwater siege to a period drama, the series will also introduce new monsters, as well as bringing back fan favourites the Ice Warriors and Cybermen.
Meanwhile the BBC Cymru Wales-produced series’ stellar list of guest stars includes: Celia Imrie; Richard E Grant; Warwick Davies, Jessica Raine; Dougray Scott and Tamzin Outhwaite, as well as for the first time on screen together, mother and daughter Dame Diana Rigg and Rachael Stirling.

Doctor Who Episode 7.05 – ‘The Angels Take Manhattan‘ (& Amy & Rory, Too! Possible Spoilers) VIDEO PHOTOS Screencaps #doctorwho #theponds:

The time has arrived, albeit a tiny bit early thanks to Canada’s SPACE channel. I was fortunately enough to view the first episode of Doctor WHO season/series 7 at maplelakeontario.com this summer so got to see how SPACE operates first-hand.
I’d seen ads for BBC One (UK) and BBC America (USA) but the Canada SPACE adverts were oddly placed–no preview or promo at the end of episode one like here in the States. Fortunately, one can always visit YouTube.

However, the SPACE network in Canada has a humdinger of a spoiler-y promo clip for the final episode of Season 7 Doctor Who featuring his companions, Amy and Rory as well as his ‘wife’ River Song (Alex Kingston). Showrunner Stephen Moffat has been dropping dark hints that one or both the companions will perish, never to be seen again. Just the same, Moffat’s been known to bold face lie when speaking of his upcoming programs, Doctor Who, included.
