Evangeline Lilly In Hawaii April 14, 2011
Ex-castaway ‘Kate,’ Looks Ready to Pop at Any Moment:
Former LOST actress Evangeline Lilly is pregnant. …The 31-year-old has been photographed with a baby bump, out in Hawaii on Thursday. This will be the first child for Lilly and boyfriend Norman Kali, who worked as a production assistant on the ABC show, and whom she began dating a year after ending her relationship with her former co-star Dominic Monaghan.

Below: Note these are old quotes by Lilly (I’ve read them before a couple of times, before LOST ended) but I’m assuming they still reflect Eve Lilly’s feelings about things (and her appearance would seem to bear that out). BUT. I want know who this Norman Kali guy a/k/a Evie’s baby daddy, is. Is he cute? You know. The important stuff.
UPDATE/This is what I’ve found. Press were off their game for almost her entire pregnancy but for a little bit of fansite reporting on Lilly being ‘in love’ with Kali at the time LOST was ending (5.10)–and quite a bit of fan forum chatter.
LOST actress Evangeline Lilly – who played Kate – has apparently fallen in love with a production assistant on the set of the hit US drama.
The National Enquirer reports that Evangeline has been dating 28-year old Norman Kali, and a ‘source’ told NE, “Lost certainly has been very good for Evie’s love life.”
When the show first began, Evangeline was romantically linked with Dominic Monaghan who played Charlie, however, after three (and a half, four?) years together, they called time on their relationship.
The show insider added, “Her romance with Dominic was red-hot for a long time, and they’ve still managed to remain friends.”
And while discussing the new love of Evangeline’s life, the insider said, “Norman’s everything Evie wants. He’s handsome, strong and buff.
“He loves the outdoors and has a great sense of humour.”

Doesn’t Evangeline look about in her 8th month? Is Lilly supposed to be flying this far along or is she now a full-time resident of HI or is she in Hawaii specifically to have the a baby? I’m so confused!
Update: Found info that indicates she’s been hanging out on the the islands for some time now! Interesting!
She looks so different pregnant!
Lilly has always been vocal about her desire for children, saying, “I have always wanted to have a child of my own and I will always want to go through the gift that women have been given to experience that, so I hope to be a mother at some point. I think I can allow myself one child — and from then on, I think I would have to adopt. It makes sense not to add to the population problem.”
Lilly has been laying low since making it big on the small-screen hit. “Ultimately, acting is not my passion. It’s my day job,” Lilly told Women’s Health. “This industry is conducive to cuckoo. It likes cuckoo. It encourages cuckoo. I’ve had to find my sanity.”This will be the first child for both Lilly and Kali.
Congratulations are in order for “Lost” alumna Evangeline Lilly:
Lilly (who played Kate on the long-running show) was spotted sporting a major baby bump in Hawaii on Thursday (April 14). According to Us Magazine (where you can see some rather unfortunate paparazzi shots), Lilly is expecting her first child with Norman Kali, a production assistant who worked on “LOST.”
Lilly’s rep had no official comment, but based on the photos we’d say she’s definitely due soon. And, apparently, she doesn’t have any lingering superstitions about fertility and islands (maybe because Hawaii doesn’t move like other islands we’ve known)…
Lilly also dated “LOST” co-star Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) from 2004-2009.
“LOST” ended a six-season run in May 2010. At the time, Lilly said she was ready to take a break from acting.
“I’m definitely planning on taking a break for a little while,” she said. “I consider acting a day job — it’s not my dream; it’s not my be-all, end-all.”
