Emerson is up directly against his good friend–and former Emmy winner, Terry O’Quinn. Will the two “cancel one another out”? Will last year’s win for Emerson stack the deck in favour of O’Quinn? Will O’Quinn’s former Emmy win in this category dissuade voters from voting for him, especially since his 2010 characterization of John Locke was as “FLocke” or “UnLocke” or “Fake Locke”–the real John Locke was dead– garroted in season 5 by Michael Emerson’s character. Finally will Emerson’s newness to television* in comparison to O’Quinn’s have any bearing?

I’ll admit I got a little teary with Matthew Fox. I thanked him for everything he taught me, including taking me on his trip to Japan to see Green Day that first summer of shooting. At the time, flying at the last minute to a foreign country was way out of my comfort zone, but then again nothing on “Lost” was ever in my comfort zone.

Fun, behind-the -scenes video of the EW photoshoot of dead LOST characters. Each are interviewed about how they felt upon hearing they were dying…Honestly, I think the EW 12 different-collectible covers and this dead portrait thing (EDIT- photographs shown above) is uninspired. It does nothing for me and it’s missing Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan) and Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies) while inserting nominally important people like “Naomi” (in the afro) and “Libby.”

The late Kamakawiwo’Ole’s version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” accompanies the video. It’s a very pretty version and very different in that [...]

Wow. Frank took some time off from posting new secrets over the holidays. He finally posted today and there are a bunch of really good ones! My “favourite” includes three Post Secrets. Immediate reaction: chuckle. Keep in mind though laughter is actually tied into shock, surprise. My teenage son is a student driver and the [...]

Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White It’s Clue. Why? First I’m not really a game player, no cards really (unless you count “Uno),” no gambling, maybe a bit of backgammon but no chess. I will play Monopoly, Clue and Scrabble. But both kids liked playing Clue for quite a while–which is the next plus–almost anyone can [...]

I don’t have many early recollections of starting a brand new school year–probably because it has been so very long since I did so! However I do remember the first day of first grade. I was very excited about starting first grade and it was not because of a brand new outfit–though I’m sure I [...]
