Naveen Andrews segment is the one that did the most for me in that it was the most inspired.

‘Guest star’ Jeff Probst, the host of the the show that was the inspiration for LOST, the ten-years-running SURVIVOR, appears at the LOSTies camp to inform Sayid that “The tribe has spoken.” Sayid must leave the Island. In his parting words, Sayid rants that he “did not serve 5 years in the Republican Guard, get shot by Roger (Linus, Ben’s father) and drown “in a pond” (hee) to be eliminated by Jeff f-ing Probst.” Very funny.

‘Meet Tanya Skagle.’ A struggling poet, Tanya works the night shift at a Detroit law firm as a perma-temp proofreader. She knows about Ray’s special talent as the result of their brief encounter after visiting his history class as part of a “Poets in the Schools” program. When they meet again at an entrepreneurial workshop, [...]

Found here via @Progrrl on Twitter Very cute and unintentionally funny self-made video by Thomas Dekker of FOX’s probably defunct Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles show, in which he thanks the die-hard fans of the show for trying to convince FOX to renew it. In the course of the video Dekker telephones FOX’s consumer help line [...]

Found at blogs.com.  Opinion 100% mine. Yes, it should be legal but the implementation should be gradual. Make non-medical possession of say up to an ounce legal for personal/private use. Medical use is a different aspect of legalization and that should have different “qualifications” about it’s usage. If marijuana helps sick people feel less sick [...]

You are Helvetica You fit in well to most situations. You’re not flashy, and prefer clarity to knocking people over with your style. A tad quiet perhaps, but not stuffy, and you’ve got very strong opinions under there somewhere. When you get drunk, you start looking more like Impact. Take the quiz on BuzzFeed.com This [...]

I pretty much agree with the “Vulture” critic from whom this list came and whose comments I excerpted snippets from. Of the ten films, I’ve seen five and have started watching the scenes. Some go as long as 18 minutes. Most are a couple minutes long. More entertaining than I’d thought. Be sure to click [...]

Wow. Frank took some time off from posting new secrets over the holidays. He finally posted today and there are a bunch of really good ones! My “favourite” includes three Post Secrets. Immediate reaction: chuckle. Keep in mind though laughter is actually tied into shock, surprise. My teenage son is a student driver and the [...]

My Favourite Post Secret This Week

Written by Caprica. Comments Off Posted in: Post Secret, humour, me

This is my favourite Post Secret this week because it made me break out laughing. Why? Because I can totally relate to attributing human qualities to my dog. Dogs are so tuned in to their people that they often take on certain attributes of them. It’s so hard to say exactly what a dog is [...]

George Carlin first came to my attention when he got himself arrested for uttering the “The Seven Dirty Words You Can Never Say On Television” in the mid 1970′s, when he performed in Milwaukee WI. Until one of my friends bought his comedy album (which some stores refused to carry) with the routine on [...]

Post Secret was offline (down) before my offline trip of 5 days so I am really behind. I’ll make a sincere effort to catch up. Don’t forget to go to the “search” box on this page for more “Post Secrets.” This Post Secret is priceless. It articulates so many feelings I have as someone that [...]

What personality trait has gotten you in the most trouble?  I’m too blunt. People ask for an opinion and then sometimes they aren’t happy with the answer. Sorry, you asked!  It’s OK to just tell me I’m wrong. I’m very honest* I suppose, to a fault. So I forget to “pretty up” the phrasing of something and tick [...]

What do you think is too serious to joke around about?

Nothing. That’s why we have “dark humour.” The Little Miss Priss side of me wants to say, war, death, disease, crime… but in truth we use humour all the time to cope with these things. If we don’t see even a glimmer of humour in a situation then we are destined be forever glum about [...]

I love the Fug Girls

Go Fug Yourself The Fug Girls is one of my favourite sites. Writers Heather and Jessica (and Intern George (Clooney) make witty, no-holds-barred judgment calls about what celebrities of any list, A-Z, are wearing–but not in an overly mean way–just really funny. Read on. ( Is it me or is Emma Watson getting really tall?) [...]

Frustrated

Why is it that because I work at home that I’m treated like I’m just hangin’ out here at the computer maybe chatting online (which I don’t do, period) or emailing (which I’d like to do but don’t have time for) or I dunno, filing my nails at my work station, which I will admit [...]

Will vs. Arnie

Will Smith’s new flick “I Am Legend” made $137 million in two weeks at the box office. I caught it. Will Smith does a good job of being the last crazy on Earth, and seeing New York absolutely empty and grown-over is kind of wonderful. But the creatures look very CGI.   Anyway, did you know [...]
