Scan the latest Lost image for clues to the final season. Is Locke’s place setting him up as, “He who will save us all?” Or is it just a copy of the infamous BSG portrait?

The picture was released in Us Weekly Magazine. At first glance it looks like just another promo still with no real meaning, especially since the cast members aren’t posing in any significant manner.

I’m not one to get into the hidden meanings in LOST as I learned long ago that the so-called mysteries can have really dumb meanings. For example: Does anyone besides the die-hard clue-hunters recall what ‘the numbers’ ultimate meaning is? No? And yet it was a be-all, end-all focus for seasons. They mean zip in the scheme of things. I believe their meaningĀ  was not revealed in a canonical way–that is they were not revealed on the show as broadcast. They were part of a LOST game, I think. So perhaps I’m being cynical and they will, ultimately matter. Not holding my breath.

Do they really HAVE to play with our heads?
It’s not like they need to worry that we won’t tune in come February.
Some of them don’t have what looks like an avocado on the plate in front of them.

The piece of “table” Lapidus is leaning on appears to be a photoshopped add on.
Check the shadows under their chins, not all in the same direction. More photoshopping. Also the angle or brightness of light on their shoulders, see Sayid and Lapius, esp.
Light peeking out below from behind the backdrop.
Only 2 Freighter people. Are they really dead? As well as Juliet.
Someone tell Fahey to button his shirt, please.

There’s a lot going on in the photos. It’s impossible for me to discern what matters and what doesn’t–does any of it matter or is it another (famous) red herring? Agreed. Of course we’ll tune in–with or without this stuff.
