Even though FlashForward has been maddening at times, one thing that has been consistently spot on is the accompanying music.
I’ve been taken with a number of FF music selections. They did exactly what soundtrack music is supposed to do: enhance the scene playing. None of it has taken me out of the scene. I thought I’d keep track of what they played and since I’m doing it anyway share with you!
A couple of my favourites include:
All three songs identified from E103 – “137 Sekunden”
KC and the Sunshine Band, “Boogie Shoes”
Smashing Pumpkins, “To Sheila”
Jeff Buckley, “Lover You Should’ve Come Over”
My very favourite so far–beautifully atmospheric
Episode 104: “Black Swan”
Bjork, “It’s Oh So Quiet”
A bus plunges into the lake.
And finally, the cleverly used Rolling Stones’, “Like A Rolling Stone.”
Episode 105: “Gimme Some Truth”
Song in sung at the karaoke bar and when Janis is ambushed and shot.
Used twice, especially to great effect the second time.
Scary Monsters and Super Creeps
TV-14 D, L, S, V
Mark, Demetri and Wedeck try to connect Janis’ attack with a separate attack made on them; Olivia confronts Mark about his experience; Demetri and Gough track down a clue from Mark’s; Dylan goes missing from the hospital.
