Dominic Monaghan "Simon" in FlashForward

Q: What’s the latest you’ve heard about… FlashForward?
A: When we caught up with Dominic Monaghan the other night, he told us they are shooting episode 11 now and there are still many questions to be answered. “I think we’re just gonna go a little further and further down the rabbit hole, and then as we get closer and closer to the finale, things will start to come back together,” he told us. “I like playing characters that are messed up. And that seems to be where we’re going with Simon.” Dominic’s character’s first big episode is episode  six, airing Oct. 29.

Dom appeared this week past in FlashForward 1×04 to pick on Lloyd, Olivia’s future crush and in doing so caused some comments like this from @televisionary “Okay, that last line on this week’s #FlashForward? Single stupidest line yet.”

Dom is the one who said the line–and it was groan-inducing!

Actor Jack Davenport gives insight into his mysterious character “Lloyd Simcoe” and his relationship with Olivia.

The nugget to take from this video if you do not have 3 minutes-plus to spare is that “Lloyd” is going to “play a major role in figuring out this flash forward.”

It appears at this point that Lloyd is rather hapless but I think there is much more to the man–at least I hope so. He’s affiliated–reluctantly it seems, with Dominic Monaghan’s character, “Simon,” who states in the video above that he and Lloyd are “responsible for the single greatest disaster in human history.”  Is Simon overstating their involvement? Is he crazy, a megalomaniac?  The questions just keep comin’. Let’s hope they don’t get any sillier than Dom’s statement above.
