Prophecy Moment – White to Play 1.02 – Flash Forward

The scene above was the best in the second episode of the new ABC series, FlashForward. Sure, they used creepy, headless dolls to amp up the fear factor but the best part was with the latest “unknown” suspect and his cryptic utterance, quoted above.

The Utah cop who shared with Demetri and Mark that she too had no memories of her flash forward and was glad of it, was sympathetic enough that her being gunned down in the warehouse was shocking. Maybe it’s because I don’t watch shows that have grizzly wounding and killing that it got to me or maybe the actress just did a really nice job of conveying a lot as Demetri put it, in “5 minutes,” but this scene is powerful.

Bowel Movement Moment – White to Play 1.02 – Flash Forward

This clip is well-named because that is exactly what our man Benford and boss Wedeck are discussing. Benford tries to extract more information from Wedeck about Wedeck’s FF.  Wedeck finally fesses up to not have been “in a meeting” during his flash forward–he was…having a BM Moment. It’s an amusing little scene in and of itself though I’m finding Courtney B. Vance just a little over-reactive for a guy in his position. I hope he chills out a bit and doesn’t play the stereotype of high-powered government guy.

The moment was valuable for another reason which will probably continue to bubble up to the top and be revisited as people who are embarrassed about their flash forward begin to disclose the truth. As it is now, most people seem to be “editing” their FF, depending upon with whom they are discussing it.
