ABC House promo Patrick Dempsey playing Foosball with Courtney Cox & Dominic Monaghan
Colour me mind-blown.
In the most recent ABC all-in-one mix-up of network show characters, Dominic Monaghan appears, playing foosball with the other-show characters. When Dom, who until two seasons ago played Charlie Pace on LOST appears to cheat, “McDreamy” (I think, I don’t watch any of the other shows whose characters are featured) says, “You are so dead,” to which Charlie replies, ”Actually, I wasn’t.”
This is going to lead to rampant speculation and I’m guessing leaks and such as we move closer to the final season of LOST which does not begin until 2010. Just the same, this is the most welcome news I could ever read as Monaghan was the character I most missed after he was “‘killed off” LOST. One would have thought that if it were a final death there would have been a body wash ashore and there was none. We also have to consider Hurley and his visitations with “dead people” as he referred to them. Were they really dead? We thought so but Juliet’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) igniting the “Jughead” nuclear bomb at the end of Season 5 has been widely speculated to have reset the timeline with Season 6 to open as Season 1 did–only different. Could Charlie actually utter his perfect line upon all the LOSTies first seeing the monster: “Guys, where are we?” in the Season 6 opener? It’s really hard not to hope.
In a new ABC promo, Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) is seen playing foosball with network stars Derek (Patrick Dempsey, Grey’s Anatomy), Jules (Courteney Cox, Cougar Town) and Jay (Ed O’Neil, Modern Family). Yes, we said Charlie, which raises the question: Is he back for the sixth and final season ofLost?
Dominic’s publicist would only say this: ”He may or may not be returning to Lost. Viewers will just have to stay tuned.”
In the promo, Derek jokes, “You’re so dead,” to which Charlie replies, “Actually, I was.” Key word: was!
