Sad to say it looks as if this is the third to last episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. But! This episode looks excellent as both Charlie Dixon ( Dean Winters) and  Terminator John Henry (Garret Dillahunt) are featured prominently. I love both actors in almost anything they do so was disappointed when it appeared that Charley was written out of the show.

But he’s baack!–for this eppy at least and I intend to enjoy it. For the record, despite my criticisms of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles I would absolutely continue watching it if it were to be renewed by FOX.

How to Fix Sarah Connor Chronicles -

If renewed, it would be on the condition that Josh Friedman would be replaced as  showrunner. I know he’s had obstacles not the least of which was the writer’s strike but other shows did as well–many of them obviously suffered for it.  Friedman I believe, does  not have a feel for this show. It’s appalling that he cast an acting newbie (as in zero acting experience) because she wanted to try acting. You have to know where to set boundaries especially when you are running a commercial television show! You’ve got so many people to answer to that you cannot afford to cast a friend in a pivotal role because well, she’s your wife’s good friend.

Shirley Manson’s acting was appallingly bad in her initial outings in T:TSCC. Now she  is simply not very good. The best thing about Ms. Manson are the special effects team who have turned her into a urinal and a walking slice and dice machine.

Summer Glau is a goldmine. Every other show should be Summer-centric.

The name of the show is Terminator, right? It even comes before Sarah Connor Chronicles! But don’t do away with Sarah. Heck no! Do something with Lena Headey besides having her glower. I thought that when Brian Austin Greene was first brought on that there could be potential for sexual tension but no. You ended up under-utilizing him as well. And that’s about it You’ve under-utilzed your strengths and over-utilized your weaknesses making yourself vulnerable to being kicked to the Friday night death curb.

This show can be fixed because unlike “Dollhouse” you have a lead in Summer Glau that can do more than pout. Her deadpan delivery is devastating! Best of luck and I mean that sincerely to all involved with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Season One rocked.
