Jeff Probst blog Episode 4

I’m guessing but it looks to me that Charlie here just has to be returning from Exile. He’s got the classic look, his little bag, and he looks like he did some digging for the Immunity Idol.
Could he have found it?  And what are the repercussions of Team Kota losing another challenge?
Sugar

Sugar

/EDIT/ Seems I’m wrong. Sugar went to Exile again! For four days! And they split the teams all up. She’ll join the team who lost the Immunity Challenge–reunited with Ace. I hope he remains loyal to her. He does not seem to feel threatened at the moment.
I can’t believe that Sugar did not go on the hunt for another Immunity idol!
But argh! Four days in Exile. A little bit of decent food knowing she has an idol was perhaps a smarter choice in terms of self care.
I missed her this episode.  Sugar gives Gabon spark!
Back later for more. Looking forward to next week!

Promo Transcript

Announcer: Thursday, the castaways rank their tribemates. Who will be the MVP? The revelation could cause someone the game.

Jeff Probst: We are picking new tribes.

Crystal: What!!!

Announcer: Now it is blonde versus blonde versus blonde.

Randy: That’s why it’s called “Survivor.”

Kelly: Duh.

Matty During Immunity Challenge~

Water/raft/paddling Challenge wipeout.

“Blonde v. Blonde v. Blonde” (from promo)

The tribes are called to the beach where Jeff hands out tally boards for each person to rank their tribe members in order of importance. That’s the “Promo Transcript” (above). The votes are cast, tallied and the results are as follows:

Fang

  1. Matty
  2. Dan
  3. Randy
  4. Crystal
  5. Ken
  6. GC
  7. Susie

Kota

1. Marcus

2. Ace

3. Bob

4. Charlie

5. Jacque

6. Corinne

7. Sugar

8. Kelly

Both Kota and Fang Tribes were told to rank their members by worth, then the “leaders” of each–the one that came in first would pick from the remaining members of the opposing team, then the tribes switched up. I was amazed that Number 3, Bob was left to almost last. I’m fairly certain he’s being way underestimated and so is Jeff Probst.

The new Fang, comprised of Ace, Jacquie, Kelly, Ken, GC, Crystal and Matty, lost badly in the immunity challenge, and found themselves once again faced with the task of voting someone out. With former Kota members Ace, Jacquie and Kelly now in their tribe, the four original Fang members started to strategize. They hypothesized that Sugar as lastly picked(!) and away at Exile for four days, who would be joining their tribe after Tribal Council, would be most likely to share the hidden immunity idol with her allies Ace and Jacquie (if she had discovered during her prior trip to Exile).  In the end, weaker physical player Kelly was off the chopping block despite Jacquie’s contrasting strength. Jacquie’s tie to Sugar posed too great a threat to the still lunk-headed Fang. As a result, it was 25 year-old Santa Barbara, CA medical saleswoman Jacquie Berg whose torch was snuffed Tribal Council– the 4th person voted out of Survivor: Gabon.

“Her final words reflected her disappointment, “So I just got voted out of Survivor and I am so upset. Um, I kinda saw it coming and if I would’ve stayed in one more round, I feel like I could’ve made it all the way in this game, so they were probably smart in saving their own butts. But I’ll be waiting for when they get kicked off. “<I imagine manical laughter here>
