Summer Glau "Cameron"

Summer Glau

Grim news: Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello delivered a grim outlook last week: “An SCC insider tells me that if the show’s numbers don’t start to climb, Fox is unlikely to order any additional episodes beyond the 13 currently in the pipeline.”

Just one more time may I say, I love Summer Glau. But she’s slumming with this bunch.

Sorry.

She let loose in the 9/29 episode–she faced her human self and it was a spot-on performance but there’s too much other stuff not going on and the show is falling (has fallen?) apart. It’s amazing because the problems are so glaring that from one reviewer to the next–I mean has anyone, anyone?!? ever said they really dig Thomas Dekker as John Conner? Or even kinda liked?

Now I read in mainstream press the exact suggestion that I made prior to seeing anyone bold enough to make it: Kill John Connor! Do it now!

They’ve defanged this incarnation of Sarah Conner but I know that Lena Headey has it in her to really be convincing as an angry warrior but not as John’s mom.  Not this John, anyway. And good grief, in this episode she was forced to sit by the horrendously pregnant Busy Phillips enduring a lame-o sub-storyline about a little late pregnancy spotting (slight bleeding). I’m not kidding! Please do not ever show Kacy Corbin’s (Busy Phillip’s) stomach again. That’s three episodes! It’s not a pretty prego tummy!

Back to John Connor. Kill him and have Sarah and Cameron fight the future and at/near the end of the series bring him back. It’s possible. Sarah is supposed to be dead right now but she jumped time and so far has skipped her cancer.

This would fix the Thomas Dekker issue. From there, get it off Monday nights and move T:TSCC to it’s old time slot or just a better time slot. Do not put it against DWTS! Everyone (except me and people with taste) watches that show and since it’s a competition, they watch it live. Trust me. Save The Sarah Conner Chronicles! Put it on a night that will best suit it. And keep it late so it can be as violent as all the guys  want it to be.

Oh yeah. One more thing. Shirley Manson is convincing as a T-1001 but not as a  but not as a CEO–           and she does the T-1001 thing best in CGI.  She makes Agent Ellison look like a big dope in that he hasn’t figured out that she’s very, very bad. Please Agent E., tell me that you have a brilliant plan to take her down.
