Synopsis: Sarah and Cameron take it upon themselves to investigate a nuclear power plant. John becomes less enthusiastic about academics, but flourishes socially with the help of a new friend. Meanwhile, Catherine Weaver gains another piece of the puzzle for her pet project.

I must be honest: I did not love this episode. It felt flat to me even though there were some great one-liners as well as Summer Glau showing a side of Cameron previously unknown to us.

In skimming internet comments by viewers of the show, it’s pretty apparent that the majority has similar sentiments–with about 60% rating this episode average or below. This episode suffered from a paucity of “Derek Reese” and “Cromartie,” I think. John did not bother me. I love every minute that Summer Glau is on the screen. Her delivery is priceless and people that say she lacks talent must not have considered that. She’s got room to grow as an actress but a. all actors do and b. she’s better now than she ever has been–plus she’s quite beautiful.
Lena Heady as Sarah…She’s beautiful no doubt but I almost wish they’d let her use her real accent at least once in an episode where she’s assuming an identity like as the janitor in “Automatic.” She has a really pretty North London accent off-screen.

I’m certainly not deterred from watching Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles next Monday on FOX, especially knowing that the T-888 “Cromartie” has a beefed-up role in Episode 3 when he kidnaps Charlie’s wife, Penny, uh, Michelle.

The show is still in what could be considered the equivalent of the mid-point of it’s first season. I think every new program should be given to time to find it’s footing–this show has a lot going for it. Hopefully FOX gets this and will let it ride out in full this season. I’m sure some great things are in store. For one thing, Summer Glau just keeps getting better and better.
