Lindsay Lohan posed nude as Marilyn Monroe in the spring fashion issue of New York Magazine. Do you think recreating Monroe’s last photo shoot before her 1962 death was a good career move for Lindsay? Lindsay recently paired up with photographer Bert Stein to recreate his legendary 1962 nude shoot with Marilyn Monroe. The photos appeared in New York magazine earlier this week, showing Lohan covered occasionally by see-through bits of fabric.

I think that Lindsey has overexposed herself so many times that this will do nothing for her career–one way or the other.
I’m aghast that the photographer who shot Marilyn originally instigated this because Lindsay is probably the last person who should try to “recreate” Monroe. She’s got a redhead’s complexion–just mass quantities of freckles–which Monroe did not have. A fake n’ bake tan–most awfully on her face–Monroe was very pale and physically, Lindsay is way too angular. Monroe as everyone knows, was curvy. Let’s not even get into that massive tattoo at the base of Lindsay’s spine (above her bum). Tacky.
A way better choice for this would have be Scarlett Johansson. Gah.

My sis-in-law is about to give birth to her second baby and I’m she will again share her joy with the world using photo birth announcements.
The impending birth is in under 30 days so everyone has been put on notice though there’s one person who probably isn’t going to take notice until the baby is an entity in the home– their first child. There will be barely 18 months age difference between them and I wonder how little “T,” a baby who has had the effusive love and attention of both his babysitter-grandmothers each week, I wonder how “T” will take to being dethroned. The immediate impact will probably be obvious but long term as they grow up, will be really interesting to observe the close-in-age sibling dynamic.

Just got back from taking youngest son to the dentist to have a cavity filled. When It was over I called him a “brave little soldier” for declining Novocaine. He’s 6′ 4″ Not exactly a “little” anything. LOL.
He declined for practical reasons. Novocaine (pain killer) leaves you in a bit of a mess, unable to feel a swath of your mouth for several hours. Son had designs on the unfinished lunch of boneless barbeque-honey chicken wings still out in our car which we’d not had time to finish prior to his appointment. I’d had three pieces of the chicken nugget-sized “wings” (they look nothing like wings). He finished off everything in the car for a total of 17 pieces! He explained he’d had no breakfast or lunch and hey, no problem I told him, Moms like it when their kids eat!
It’s another bitter cold day or would be if there was any wind. Upside is it’s partly sunny. Down side: We are supposed to have record low temperatures tomorrow. This weather is so hard on people who have to be outside including my eldest son who takes public tran to work–such as it is here in Chicagoland. February, though the shortest month seems to crawl by at a snail’s pace.
